Taiwan Mobile (TWM) has reported consolidated revenues of TWD81.37 billion (USD6.04 billion) for the twelve months ended 31 December 2011. This figure represents an increase of 16% compared to 2010. However, EBITDA for 2011 decreased 1.4% to TWD27.09 billion, with net income dropping to TWD13.47 billion, decrease of 2.6%.
In operational terms, at the end of December 2011 TWM reported 6.66 million mobile subscribers, up from 6.40 million one year earlier; 5.09 million used the company’s 3G network at that date. Elsewhere, TWM reported 340,000 ‘data card’ (dongle) subscriptions, 575,000 cable TV subscribers and 155,000 cable broadband users. Mobile ARPU for 2011 stood at TWD719 per month, with cable ARPU reported as TWD743.
