TIM Brasil unveils ‘Fixed Unlimited’ call plan

Brazilian fixed and mobile operator TIM Participacoes (TIM Brasil) has announced the launch of a new unlimited fixed telephony calling plan. Dubbed ‘Fixed Unlimited’ the new tariff allows TIM customers to make calls at a fixed price rate of BRL39.90 (USD21.2) per month. The contract plan includes the facility to make an unlimited number of local and domestic long-distance calls to any other fixed operator in Brazil via a ‘41’ dialling prefix, and also includes the same benefits for three mobile numbers chosen by the user. Further, TIM Brasil’s Fixed Unlimited plan is understood to include other features such as caller ID, voice mail and ‘TIM SMS’. The new service requires no specialist installation and there is no activation fee.
