Smart Communications has announced that it has accelerated the rollout of its HSPA+ network. By mid-October more than 1,200 HSPA+ base stations had been deployed, up from just 500 in September. The cellco has signed contracts with Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson and Huawei for the expansion of the network, and earlier in the year was reportedly testing LTE.
