Invitel, a leading alternative telecommunications and broadband services provider in Hungary, has announced a simplification of its group structure that will see the liquidation of a number of group entities, including Invitel Holdings A/S and Matel Holdings NV. The process will also see Invitel Holding A/S’ board of directors relocated to Invitel Zrt, which will become the main operating company for the group’s Hungarian operation. In a press release Invitel said that the liquidation of other group companies including Invitel Hungary Holdings Kft and AT-Invitel GmbH, and the merger of the FiberNet group companies into Invitel Zrt has also been completed.
