CRC sets price for UMTS licence

Bulgaria’s Communication Regulation Commission (CRC) has released further details regarding the upcoming tender for an additional 3G licence. The CRC has set a minimum price for the licence at BGN49.5 million (USD33.4 million), with bidding due to close on 7 December. In order to participate, interested parties must file applications with the watchdog by 21 October. As previously reported by CommsUpdate, the UMTS licence is valid for 15-years and permits the use of two 15MHz bands of spectrum in the 2GHz range.
