Indonesian internet multimedia services provider PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2) has launched a new 2Mbps broadband offer aimed squarely at SMEs and the SOHO market. The operator will charge around IDR900,000 (USD101) per month for the subscription which is capable of supporting between four and ten PCs. The group’s operations director Suharso W Sulistyo told reporters that IM2 believes the potential market for SME/SOHO users could be as high as 50 million. ‘186 SMEs and SOHOs have used our service since January. Now we are officially launching the service because we are targeting more subscribers,’ Sulistyo said, adding that IM2 aims to boost its customer base by 200 users by end-2011, rising to 4,000 by 2012.
