OPTA requests data from service providers as it explores VoIP licences, paper says

20 Sep 2011

Dutch telecoms regulator OPTA is widening its investigation into VoIP licences in the country and to that end has requested information from service providers on the systems they currently employ. According to Telecompaper the watchdog has requested data from KPN, Ziggo, UPC, BT, Tele2 NL, T-Mobile, Verizon and Vodafone. It has reportedly asked them to provide the information it needs within three weeks, and in English, so the findings can be presented to an English-speaking specialist on the subject.
