19 Sep 2011

Irish altnet Magnet Networks says it has upgraded its fibre-optic broadband services, upping the entry level of its basic downstream connection from 5Mbps to 30Mbps, while increasing minimum upload speeds to 5Mbps from 1Mbps. The operator’s new minimum standards will also apply to its existing 5Mbps and 10Mbps plans, it added. Further, the telco has also upgraded its premium services, it said, increasing its 25Mbps and 50Mbps fibre packages to 60Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.
