PTCL unveils FY2010/11 financial results

Pakistani fixed line incumbent Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has announced that in the year ended 30 June 2011 it saw revenues of PKR104.6 billion (USD1.14 billion), an increase of 6% against the figure from the previous financial year. Further, the company noted that net profit for the twelve month period stood at PKR8.4 billion. The operator’s president and CEO Walid Irshaid said that the results demonstrated that PTCL had successfully ‘continued its strategy of innovation’, with the company having positioned itself as the leading integrated telecom services provider in Pakistan, offering multiple solutions to business and household market segments while also extending vital services to other telecom operators in the country. The executive noted: ‘We at PTCL remain highly conscious of the fact that our success and growth can only come from satisfied customers and it remains our challenge to provide friendly, seamless and prompt customer service. To this end, we endeavour to further improve customer experience. We strongly believe that PTCL is poised to grow and remain the leading and dominant integrated telecom service provider of choice for our customers throughout Pakistan.’
