TTSL and Vanu sign agreement for coverage and capacity expansion in four circles

Indian mobile network operator Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has awarded US-based wireless infrastructure solutions provider Vanu a multi-million dollar contract for the supply of radio access network solutions for its GSM arm, Tata DOCOMO, India’s Economic Times reports. The terms of the deal are understood to include the supply, deployment and managed services of the network, with the project expected to enhance coverage and capacity of TTSL’s GSM infrastructure in four unnamed circles. ‘We have chosen Vanu’s products and technology to address challenges that conventional technologies cannot, as part of our continuing attempt to provide better service quality to our customers in urban areas,’ TTSL Executive President (Enterprise Business and Technology) AG Rao noted. No financial details of the deal have been disclosed.
