Hellas Online posts first-half results

Greek alternative telco Hellas Online (HOL) has reported that its consolidated revenue for the first half of 2011 rose by 13.1% compared to the corresponding period last year, reaching EUR113.3 million (USD163.4 million). HOL’s total customer base using the operator’s Local Loop Unbundled (LLU) network rose by 29.6% year-on-year to 435,000 at the end of June 2011, giving it an estimated market share of 28.5% in Greece’s LLU sector, according to the company’s own calculations. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted to EUR32.6 million in January-June 2011, an improvement on the same period of 2010 in which EBITDA was EUR22.9 million.
