The Brazilian army is reported to have signed an agreement with Motorola Solutions to test Long Term Evolution (LTE) in the 700MHz band. Nextwirelesslatam.com says the pair hope to test public security solutions in the capital city of Brasilia, with Motorola investing USD2 million and requesting a relevant licence from the regulator Anatel. Over the next six months the two aim to deploy two sites in the capital, covering all ministry entrances and the Center of Communications and Electronic War of the Army.
