China Mobile has posted revenue of RMB250.1 billion (USD39.1 billion) for the first six months of 2011, up 8.8% year-on-year. EBITDA meanwhile increased 6.5% to produce an EBITDA margin of 49.6%. The figures were boosted by a net increase of 33 million new users between January and June coupled with an 18.5% increase in data revenue. Non-voice services now account for 32.2% of total sales. A further 11.85 million customers were added during July, taking the company’s total subscriber base to 621.9 million, of which 37.6 million are 3G subscribers.
