TNL (Oi) says 2011 CAPEX will reach USD3.15bn-USD3.46bn

Brazilian telecoms group Telemar Norte Leste Participacoes (TNL), which offers services under the banner Oi, expects full-year 2011 CAPEX to reach BRL5.0 billion-BRL5.5 billion (USD3.15 billion-USD3.46 billion), its investor relations officer Alex Zornig said on the telco’s Q2 earnings call. Zornig confirmed that in the first six months of this year, 70% of its CAPEX was allocated to the group’s growing business – 74% for Oi’s wireline network with the goal of improving broadband capabilities and coverage, and 26% on mobile.

Brazil, Oi
