PTCL launches 3G EVO Tab – claims a first for Pakistan

National PTO Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced the launch of the country’s first 3G-enabled tablet PC with inbuilt EVO wireless broadband connectivity. Unveiling the ‘3G EVO Tab’ Google Android-loaded touch screen tablet, the telco notes the device has 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 5-megapixel camera and a range of built-in applications. PTCL’s Naveed Saeed said the launch of the first 3G device will give its customers ‘the freedom to surf the internet, talk, tweet and do a lot more simultaneously on-the-go in more than 100 cities nationwide’.
