According to local consultancy Teleco, which cites preliminary data from national telecoms regulator Anatel, Brazil ended June 2011 with 26.623 million 3G mobile devices (including modems), corresponding to 11.6% of the country’s total wireless connections. Of the total, 21.226 million 3G devices were W-CDMA mobile handsets, while the remaining 5.357 million were 3G data terminals.
