Figures released by the French telecoms regulatory body Arcep show that the number of IPTV subscriptions in France increased by 2.1 million in the twelve months ended 31 March 2011, to reach 11.4 million. The Q1 2011 electronic communication market observatory report shows that almost 60% of ADSL connections are combined with a TV service. The number of subscribers to high-speed and very high-speed broadband internet reached 21.8 million at the end of the quarter, representing 7.5 % growth year-on-year. DSL access represents 95% of all high speed broadband connections. Very high speed broadband subscribers passed the 500,000 mark for the first time, to reach 516,000 subscribers. This includes 138,000 fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) subs.
