UK-based international MVNO Lycamobile has launched in France, its 14th market since it launched in the Netherlands in 2006, writes TelecomPaper. Lycamobile, which has now has operations in Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Australia, Germany, Poland and Ireland, currently boasts around 6.5 million customers. In France, Lycamobile is offering its ‘Pay as you go SIM’ product with 600 minutes for customers who put at least EUR30 (USD43.6) credit in their account. The minutes can be used for on-net, national landline and international landline communications. Lycamobile charges EUR0.05 per minute for calls to landlines and EUR0.12 per minute to mobiles in France, with no connection charge. International rates start at EUR0.01 per minute with a EUR0.09 call connection fee.
