Indonesian wireless operator Telekomunikasi Seluler (Telkomsel) is targeting signing up 3.3 million new users to its mobile payments service T-Cash this year. The cellco had 4.7 million users at the end of 2010. T-Cash allows customers to carry out transactions between IDR5,000 and IDR5 million via their mobile phone to pay for mobile top-ups and utility bills. The Jakarta Post quotes Telkomsel vice president Bambang Suprayogo as saying: ‘The increase in the number of T-Cash service users is in line with the increasing number of Telkomsel customers, which has now reached 100 million.’
