Brazilian telecoms operator Algar Telecom, owner of the CTBC brand, has revealed plans to extend its service coverage in Minas Gerais state. Under the plan, the telco intends to roll out services to more than 200 municipalities in the next two years, having won an H band licence in the regulator Anatel’s auction. Local daily Jornal da Manha quotes Algar’s regional director Luiz Eduardo Cunha Peppe as saying that the telco will offer fixed telephony, broadband and mobile services as part of the service expansion. Its priority will be to provide cutting-edge technology and innovative services to municipalities adjacent to its concession area, he added.
