The Philippine Daily Inquirer writes that local telco Globe Telecom has launched a new line of mobile devices that will allow its customers to make the most of its HSPA+ network. Globe has rolled out a mobile broadband dongle dubbed the Tattoo Tonino Lamborghini, which is capable of providing connectivity of up to 10Mbps, it says. Further, the company last Friday introduced a 4G-enabled mobile phone in the country, the Samsung Galaxy S II. To augment the new phones on offer, Glode is also offering a new Video Message Service (VMS), free of charge to My SuperSurf Plan subscribers until 31 July. The VMS launch is being carried out in partnership with GMA Network Inc, one of the Philippines’ largest TV networks. Globe says its HSPA+ commercial rollout has now doubled, following expansion of coverage in Mandaluyong, Navotas, Caloocan and Valenzuela.
