Bouygues breaks one million broadband subscribers barrier

French fixed and mobile operator Bouygues Telecom says it has signed up more than one million ADSL broadband subscribers, pushing its market share to 4.6%. The company says it has signed up a net 500,000 new users in one year, compared to rival SFR’s net additions of 360,000. France boasted more than 21.78 million high speed internet access connections at the end of March this year, according to the telecoms regulator Arcep.
