The shareholders of TIME Engineering have approved a plan to divest the company’s 24.74% stake in TIME dotCom. The move comes after reports surfaced in January that TIME Engineering was seeking to cash in on its shares in the Malaysian fixed line voice and broadband provider. According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, TIME dotCom secured a 3G licence in March 2006 but subsequently sold it to rival operator DiGi in November 2007. TIME outlined a plan under which it provide MVNO services over DiGi’s network, but despite the latter launching 3G services in March 2009, TIME has yet to announce a launch of its own.
