Canada’s largest cellular operator by subscribers, Rogers Communications, has earmarked CAD80 million (USD82 million) to expand its HSPA+ mobile network coverage in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island to 94% of the population of the three provinces (approximately 1.73 million of 1.85 million), compared to the current 41% (around 750,000 people) offered 3.5G coverage. Rogers begins work this month on the project, which will continue through 2012.
