TelecomPaper reports that Mobile Intelligence Solutions, based in the Middle East, is interested in becoming the fourth mobile operator in Montenegro. Citing local media reports, which in turn quotes the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP). Mobile Intelligence is reported to have sent a formal letter of intent to the regulator. The agency’s director Zoran Sekulic confirmed to the local portal Analitika that he had had a meeting with the delegation. The company has supposedly requested a 25-year GSM/W-CDMA/WiMAX/MVDDS licence. Sekulic added that in order to award frequencies, Montenegro is required to open a competitive tender.
