ForthNet publishes first-quarter results

Greek alternative telco and pay-TV provider ForthNet has posted a 3.3% year-on-year increase in first-quarter revenue to EUR102.6 million (USD146.5 million), with adjusted EBITDA rising by 8.8% to EUR18.5 million, largely driven by its broadband and fixed telephony operations. It added that in the three months ended 31 March 2011 it continued to attract customers to its bundles of telecoms and pay-TV services. ForthNet’s total broadband subscribers (including resale) grew to 496,000 at the end of March 2011, up from 408,000 a year earlier, while local loop unbundling (LLU) customers reached almost 460,000 at the same date, up from 358,000 in March 2010.
