Malaysian mobile operator Celcom Axiata has inked a deal with NetCracker, a subsidiary of Japan’s NEC Corporation, under which the vendor will deliver its Telecom Operations and Management Solution (TOMS) to ‘support an aggressive next generation network rollout programme and improve assurance processes in order to reduce operating costs, enhance Quality of Service, and generate superior customer experience.’ NetCracker has said that the solution will allow for the centralised management of Celcom’s transmission, core, and radio networks, while it will also provide an up-to-date, end-to-end view of all network data through synchronisation and reconciliation with a wide variety of NMS/EMS systems covering all network technologies.
