Swiss telco Sunrise has reported a 3.7% fall in revenue for the three months ended 31 March 2011 to CHF477 million (USD543.8 million), primarily as a result of a 21% slump in fixed network revenues to CHF134 million. Internet revenues fell by 2.8% to CHF44 million, while mobile revenues managed a 6.6% increase to CHF300 million. EBITDA for the first quarter grew by 7.7% year-on-year to CHF141 million. In operational terms, Sunrise ended March with 2.02 million wireless customers, up 5,000 compared to the start of the year, with the 20,000 increase in contract users more than compensating for the 15,000 fall in pre-paid SIMs. Mobile ARPU slipped to CHF43.4 per month, down from CHF46.2 in Q410 and CHF45.2 in the same period of 2010. Landline retail voice customers fell 11,000 to 560,000, while xDSL customers increased by 7,000 to 358,000, of which 246,000 were LLU users.
