Regulator promises rural ICT push

The government of Tanzania has committed to improving telecoms and IT access in rural parts of the country and to provide Tanzanians living there more affordable rates. The deputy chairman of the Tanzania Communications Regulatory Authority (TCRA), Dr Vuai Idd Lila, admitted that despite the great strides being taken in the country, many people have yet to benefit from access to quality, low-cost ICT services.
