Com Hem’s EBITDA, sales rise 20%, 6%, despite overall reduction in cable users

Sweden’s leading triple-play cable network operator Com Hem has posted first-quarter revenues which rose 6% year-on-year to SEK1.11 billion (USD180 million) as its EBITDA climbed by 20% to SEK503 million, despite an overall reduction in its TV, internet and voice subscriber base to 838,000 (down by a net 3,000 quarter-on-quarter). Its cable broadband internet subscribers rose by 1% year-on-year to 537,700, and it achieved a 4% increase in cable telephony subscriptions to 371,300 as at 31 March 2011.
