T-HT’s sales, EBITDA and profit all fall

6 May 2011

Croatia’s former monopoly telco T-Hrvatiski Telekom (T-HT) has posted 2.5%, 6.4% and 8.5% year-on-year drops in revenues, EBITDA and net profit, respectively, to HRK1.89 billion (USD380 million), HRK765 million and HRK351 million for the first quarter of 2011. The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary (operating fixed and mobile services under the T-Com and T-Mobile brands), reported that Croatia’s recession and new ‘special’ taxes introduced last year continued to affect its top and bottom line results, despite growth in its residential broadband and IPTV customer bases, which increased year-on-year by 13.2% and 23.4% to 535,000 and 299,000, respectively, as at 31 March 2011.
