TDC posts solid first quarter results

Danish telco TDC has posted first-quarter revenues of DKK6.6 billion (USD1.3 billion), up 0.9% year-on-year, while EBITDA came in at DKK2.7 billion, gaining 1.2%. ‘Strong growth in our pay-TV franchise and the Nordic division [which covers the Group’s activities in Sweden, Norway and Finland] as well as continued efficiency gains across the company more than offset negative impacts from landline-to-mobile migration and price competition in the domestic mobile market,’ TDC said. TDC’s guidance for 2011 remains unchanged: revenue is expected to remain level with 2010, and EBITDA is expected to grow by approximately 2%.
