Dow Jones reports that TeliaSonera Sweden is to spend SEK500 million (USD79 million) on upgrading 800,000 connections with VDSL2 technology. The lines will provide downlink speeds of between 30Mbps and 60Mbps, and completion of the project is scheduled for 2013. The Swedish telco says the upgrade will allow customers to run several bandwidth-hungry broadband services simultaneously, such as HDTV and advanced online gaming.
