Vodafone Qatar connects to iBasis

iBasis, a part of the KPN group, has announced that Vodafone Qatar has interconnected to the iBasis global network for the exchange of international mobile phone calls. The young Qatari cellco’s move is aimed at cost-effectively keeping pace with rapid growth. Many other operating companies in the UK-based Vodafone Group already have relationships with iBasis, whilst Vodafone Qatar joins more than 250 mobile network operators enlisting iBasis for international voice and/or data services.
