OTE’s VDSL launch delayed until September by regulator

Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation (OTE), Greece’s dominant fixed network operator, will not be able to launch commercial services over its newly deployed VDSL broadband network until September this year, under a ruling by the regulator, the National Telecommunications & Post Commission (EETT). According to Bloomberg, the delay was justified by the watchdog as necessary for rules and new prices for high speed services to be introduced to ensure fair competition.
