14 Mar 2011

Polkomtel will open up its books to seven shortlisted bidders after 21 March, according to Chief Executive Krzysztof Kilian. According to local reports there are three telecoms players and four financial investors in the running for the stake, which is being put up for sale by Vodafone and several Polish state-owned companies.

Sources familiar with the matter told Reuters earlier this week that the seven were Apax, KKR, Providence, and a joint bid from private equity funds TPG and Blackstone as well as Zygmunt Solorz Zak, TeliaSonera and Telenor.
