Vodafone Hungary has signed a deal with MTM-SBS, the company which owns Hungarian commercial television channel TV2, allowing the pair to provide mobile internet TV services under the TV2 brand. Local newspaper the Budapest Business Journal writes that the deal is similar to one inked recently by Red Bull and Telenor Hungary. In other words, under the plan TV2’s sole involvement will be via the marketing of its brand products, with customers signing service contracts solely with Vodafone as the network service provider. Vodafone is expected to reveal more details of the proposed tie-up on 28 February, including a breakdown of the TV channels TV2 plans to use to market the new product.
