Bouygues goes for BoostEdge to optimise 3G

11 Feb 2011

French mobile operator Bouygues Telecom has deployed ActivNetworks’ BoostEdge acceleration and data traffic optimisation platform on its 3G network, with IBM acting as the system integrator. The cellco hopes the move traffic will enable it to reduce the handling time of processing data and speed up internet access for users. BoostEdge is designed to improve 3G networks’ performances by reducing processed traffic. This means web pages are displayed more quickly and file downloads are greatly accelerated, it said.
