Indian communication device manufacturer Olive Telecom yesterday announced the launch of its flagship OlivePad product in Nepal, as well as a range of new mobile phones. The OlivePad tablet, which the maker claims was the first of its type to appear in India, will be available in Nepal for NPR42,000 (USD582), initially in the Kathmandu region. Running on the Android 2.2 O/S and 3.5G/Wi-Fi enabled, the tablet also works as a smartphone for making voice calls.
