Globe to increase coverage of DUO in rural, remote areas

31 Jan 2011

Globe Telecom of the Philippines plans to expand the coverage of its DUO-branded wireless landline service to eight remote areas in the provinces of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Globe’s DUO service is a two-in-one product that allows the subscriber to use a single SIM to make unlimited calls from any landline number and from any landline to Globe, while also allowing for calls to and from any DUO post-paid mobile subscriber as long as they are all within the same area code. Since its launch two years ago, Globe has rolled out DUO coverage to a number of provinces across the country, including Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna, Pangasinan, Negros Oriental, Leyte, Antique, South Cotabato, Metro Manila, Rizal, Cebu, Bohol, Negros Occidental, Capiz, Batangas, Quezon, Northern Samar and Davao del Sur.
