27 Jan 2011

Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of City Telecom, has committed to deploying Cisco’s CRS-3 Carrier Routing System as the foundation for its core Internet Protocol Next Generation Network (IP NGN), in a bid to cope with surging bandwidth demand and to extend its network coverage. HKBN added that it believes that the Cisco solution will enable it to maintain its existing ‘speed guarantee’ to customers, promising ‘80% steady speed is ensured’ amid escalating internet demands of businesses and consumers.
