TIME dotCom bundles Astro IPTV in triple-play packs

Malaysian telco TIME dotCom has forged an agreement with Measat Broadcast Network Systems (Astro) to roll out IPTV services across the Klang Valley and Penang, reports Telecompaper. Via the tie-up, Astro will deploy its HD/VOD/B.yond pay-TV service over TIME’s fibre broadband network, and customers will be offered ‘Astro – Powered by TIME Fibre Broadband’ branded IPTV bundled with TIME broadband and telephony packages. The service is already available to 11,400 homes and will be extended to an estimated 167,000 homes in over 1,500 buildings by the end of 2011. A ten-year cooperation deal is expected to be finalised by the end of January.
