Slovenian mobile operator Tusmobil has chosen Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) to implement an expansion of its 3G network and migration to all-IP, HSPA+ infrastructure in the 900MHz frequency band. As part of a three-year deal NSN is responsible for the supply, deployment and integration of solutions including its Flexi Multiradio base station, FlexiPacket Microwave and complete IP-backhaul platform. ‘With this network expansion, we will be able to integrate our voice, data, and video services, and rapidly roll out interesting and innovative services for our customers, further improving their satisfaction,’ said Matjaz Savodnik, chief executive officer of Tusmobil. ‘This is a landmark project, since it marks the complete shift to an all-IP network including IPv6 and Direct Tunnel for the first time in the world,’ said Fotios Samelis, an account manager from NSN.
