KDDI reportedly interested in Austrian systems integrator

KDDI Corp of Japan is said to be in the hunt to acquire Austrian S&T System Integration & Technology Distribution, according to a report in the Austrian weekly, Format. In today’s publication Format claims that KDDI has contacted Morgan Stanley regarding the systems integrator, which has already started due diligence at S&T. The weekly says that KDDI is interested in the 29% equity stake in the unit being sold by insolvent AvW Gruppe, as well as a 28% stake owned by S&T founder Thomas Streimelweger.
