ForthNet’s telecoms revenues up 17.7%

Greek alternative telco and pay-TV operator ForthNet has reported that its telecom segment revenues reached EUR54.7 million (USD73.9 million) in the third quarter of 2010, up by 17.7% compared to the same period of 2009, as total turnover grew 9.4% to EUR102 million. Consolidated EBITDA for the three months to the end of September fell to EUR 16.7 million from EUR 17.2 million a year earlier, while telecom segment CAPEX was reduced by EUR14.1 million year-on-year to EUR11.7 million in 3Q10. During the quarter ForthNet added 24,400 net new unbundled local loop (ULL) customers to reach 415,662 active ULL subscriptions at end-September 2010, of a total broadband subscriber base of 461,343, up by 22,377 in Q3.
