Vodafone Qatar posted a negative EBITDA of QAR31.9 million (USD8.8 million) in the six months ended 30 September 2010, an improvement on EBITDA loss of QAR347.5 million in the same period of 2009, as revenue for the six-month period climbed 20% year-on-year to QAR385.4 million. The mobile operator’s customer base grew by 12% over the quarter to reach 601,000 by end-September. ‘We remain on track to deliver our first full quarter of positive EBITDA for the three months ending 31 December 2010,’ John Tombleson, the company’s acting chief executive said in a statement.
