Ericsson expands managed services contract with TeliaSonera

Swedish network equipment vendor Ericsson has signed a three-year managed services contract with Stockholm-based telecoms group TeliaSonera covering 29 countries, reports Dow Jones Newswires. The deal, of undisclosed value, renews and expands an earlier contract between the companies. Under the contract, Ericsson will perform field operations for TeliaSonera’s networks in 29 countries including Russia, the UK and the United States, and will commence managing TeliaSonera’s services in Russia on 1 February 2011 and in the other 28 countries on 1 December 2010.
