Exatel: two bidders in, two out

10 Nov 2010

PGE, Poland’s largest utility, has rejected preliminary bids from Netia and GTS Central Europe for Exatel, the phone company it plans to sell later this year, according to local newspaper Puls Biznesu, which cites Netia Chief Executive Officer Miroslaw Godlewski and GTS Central Europe CEO Adam Sawicki. Wireless network operator Polkomtel and Mediatel, majority owned by Warsaw-based investment fund NFI Magna Polonia, have been selected by PGE for further talks, however.
