22 Oct 2010

German cable operator Kabel BW has announced its broadband internet and telephony customer base totalled 624,000 at the end of September 2010, an increase of 29% compared to the 483,000 reported a year earlier. The Baden-Wurttemberg-based company said 27% of its 2.3 million cable customers now subscribe to internet and telephony services, which it claims is the highest proportion of any German cable network operator. Kabel BW witnessed a 39% year-on-year increase in pay-TV revenue generating units (RGUs) to 259,000 at 30 September 2010. Thanks to ongoing network expansion and modernisation efforts, Kabel BW said that 99% of the 3.6 million households in Baden-Wurttemberg passed by its cable network can now subscribe to its ‘Clever Kabel’ triple-play packages.
