Finnish telecoms group Elisa has posted revenues for the third quarter of 2010 of EUR363 million (USD507 million), up moderately from the EUR360 million sales it recorded in the same period of 2009. EBITDA for the company, which has telecoms operations in Finland and Estonia, was EUR127 million in July-September 2010, down slightly from EUR131 million in 3Q09 whilst operating profit was EUR73 million (down from EUR77 million). Blended monthly mobile ARPU was EUR21.2 in the three-month period, after a quarter-on-quarter decrease of EUR1.2, whilst mobile churn increased to 18.1% in 3Q10 compared to 15.9% in April-June. Elisa added 102,000 net new mobile subscriptions during the quarter, which it attributed in particular to new 3G and mobile broadband customers. In Finland, mobile users reached 3.25 million at the end of September 2010, up from 3.17 million three months earlier, whilst in Estonia the mobile base increased from 378,000 to 402,000 in the same period. Fixed broadband customers rose by 2,000 q-o-q to 464,000.
